So many things are happening in the world today! Jesus commanded us to Not be afraid! Read how God showed me how I let fear in!
Maybe that hurt turned into bitterness or even envy? You feel like you deserved to be treated better.... Friend, we have a choice to make when those feelings come, we need to realize that it is a weapon of the enemy to stop the plan of God.
Offense is a tangible substance in the spirit realm. You may not be able to see it with your natural eyes, but it can make itself known in the spirit. You can locate a person by the way they talk. You can tell if someone is offended by the words they speak: They didn't do this for me. They never care about me. I can remember a time when I was about 12-years-old and I was whining to my mom about something that had happened. I can't even remember what happened I just remember that I had let offense in and I was hurt and upset by it. You know if you really think about it the things that can try to take hold of us are not worth the price that offense brings with it .
An offense brings with it a deadly price. Its results brings with it strife, jealousy, comparison, bitterness, anger, even death. Not that you actually die but death to the plan that God has for you and the dreams that He has prepared for you to fulfill. One of the names for the devil is the "accuser of the brethren,", he tries to accuse us day and night. He will do whatever it takes to make you question what the Word of God says. He will try to make you believe a lie about someone or about yourself.
Offense can start very suddenly until you become so blinded by it you don't even realize that you are offended. How do you recognize offense? Let the Holy Spirit show you areas and reveal light in those areas through praying in the Holy Spirit. I also believe in being accountable to someone. Someone who the Lord puts in your life that you can trust and speak to that would be able to help you in those areas. Pray and ask the Lord to bring someone that you can be accountable to.
Prayer is a spiritual weapon and with the Word of God,you can speak to those areas that the enemy has been accusing you about. As you pray allow the Holy Spirit to teach and show you areas or people that you allowed offense to come into your life. After you see those things, apply the Word and plead the Blood of Jesus over it and don't let the devil bring it back to your mind! Yes he will try, but you will have to keep speaking and declaring the Word of God.
God has good plans for us to walk in for this day! The plans that God has for you are bigger than any lie that the enemy has tried to make you believe. Let's learn to recognize the weapon of offense quickly so we can fulfill all that God has for us to walk in!
Rev. 12:10-11 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Where did this year go? It seems like so much is happening and at an accelerated rate. I just came back from Australia and Hawaii right before Christmas and now it's already a new year! I've heard my grandmother say many times before that time will be accelerated before the second coming of the Lord.Read More
