Heaven's Desires

If you’re searching for answers start seeking God. As we spend time with Him, His desires start to become ours (Psalms 37:1).

A desire is like a tiny seed.

A desire is like a tiny seed.

Those desires He gives you probably won’t happen overnight. He may show you things beyond this season in your life! A desire is like a tiny seed that gets watered through prayer. Praying the Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians prayers daily over your life will help blossom the plan God has for you. (Read them slowly and pause as the Holy Spirit guides you.)

We live in a fast food generation that expects everything to happen in a flash. We go to a drive-through and place our order and moments later we get it. When the Father asks us to spend time in His Presence He doesn’t want us to have this mentality. We must stay in His Presence long enough to know Him and to know the plans He has for us (Jeremiah 29:11). As we spend time in His Presence He will place His desires into our heart—He gives us the desires of our heart because they come from Him.

I'm heading to Africa in less than 7 weeks!

Last September the Lord started moving in a supernatural way in my life and I started to see the answers to those desires. He started putting Africa on my heart (and I’m about to head there in seven weeks). This wasn’t something that happened overnight it took much seeking and prayer. When you take steps of faith it doesn’t make sense to your mind—you just have to let go and trust Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

When you follow God you're never alone. I'm just going to be real with you and let you know it's never easy. I recently read Joshua 1:9 and it encouraged my faith. I pray that as you seek God you will be encouraged in your faith.

My desire for you is that our Father will complete that which He has begun in you by our Lord Jesus Christ and that you may know His Heart and the desires He has called you to fulfill in His Son!

I will not be fearful or discouraged for the LORD my God is with me wherever I go.
