Heavenly Assignments In Washington, D.C.

Heavenly Assignments In Washington, D.C.

This past weekend I flew to Washington, DC with my family to attend an urgent meeting! Christians United For Israel had 250 leaders to lobby against what the security counsel and nations who voted that Israel has no right to the promise land.

I have been to Washington, DC many times, but this trip was different. My Aunt Shelli and I were talking on the flight how it was hard to sleep the night before because we had such an excitement in our Spirit that God had a specific purpose for our going to DC.

As soon as I jumped off the plane, the winter Virginia air blew upon my face, and I zipped up my jacket it was freezing! When we got to our hotel we had lunch and went to our room to rest before dinner with CUFI that evening. How refreshing it was to see familiar faces, yet we were there for one purpose, Israel. After we ate dinner, we were  awakened by the leaders on how serious the matter was for Israel, and the recent decision about their land.

Senator Lindsey Graham spoke to us, and urged us on how important it was for us to be in DC, and speak up on behalf of Israel. He stated  if there had been a movement like CUFI who would've stood up for the Jewish people during the days of Hitler there wouldn’t have been a Holocaust.

The next day started off early with breakfast, and a short briefing of what our speaking points were when we meet with our State senators. Since our first meeting with Senator Roy Bunt wasn’t until later that morning we headed up to the Senate building. If you have ever met my family, you would know that we all have strong personalities and are leaders. The expression too many chiefs not enough Indians goes right in with my family. We went up to security and started taking out anything that would set off the machine. Pastor Vicki walked in right after me, and her outfit kept setting the scanner off. She is a petite lady, and it was funny to watch security keep checking to see what was causing her to set off the scanner. My grandmother tells the security to just let her through that she is harmless. I laughed, and the man turned and said is this your job to tell who comes in through security? I said no sir it’s not my job it’s yours. He goes ok that’s what I thought and let Pastor Vicki in. What an intresting way to  start our day, and I perceived that it would be an adventure.

We stopped by Senator Claire McCaskill’s office to talk to her staff about how thankful we were that she opposed the agreement in which Obama wanted to give Israel’s land away. Afterwards we headed up to our meeting with Senator Roy Blunt, and Pastor Larry Ollison looked at the sign to where we were to go. The ladies piled into the elevator, and Pastor Tom and Larry walked up the stairs to meet us. As soon as we got off the elevator,  eyes were looking at us and it was reporters from major news stations. I glanced over to where the stairs were and saw five officers guarding the entrance. I wondered if the Pastors would be able to come on the floor. Mimi walked through the aisle in between the reporters and was praying in the Spirit. She came back over to us and said we need to pray and start taking our authority. God led us to the floor room of where the caucus room was with a major meeting concerning Israel's new ambassador David Freeman.

We kept wondering what was taking the men so long to come up on the stairs and found out later that security had stopped them from coming. Pastor Larry told the officer that the group had accidentally got on the elevator and was on the floor. The officer told him we would be escorted off the floor because no one was allowed up there.God wanted us up there because nobody came up to us asking what we were doing. It was almost like we were secret agents on assignment to pray. Our steps were directed of God, and there was an eternal purpose for our being there. We were Spirit-led without even realizing that we were going to the caucus room.

Senator Roy Blunt

Senator Roy Blunt

After our meeting with Senator Roy Blunt I did a short interview outside of his office, and posted it on my Facebook page interviewing Pastor Vicki Leuther . We talked how God lead us into the Senate building to pray, and the importance of prayer for this generation.

God has placed upon my heart the importance of connecting the generations in prayer. God wants this generation to know him ,and experience these adventures with him in prayer.

I believe there is to be a movement connecting both generations in prayer. The Lord put in on my heart to interview leaders I am around in my life to encourage and connect to this millennial generation. For this generation to rise and have an intimate realtionship with Christ Jesus before he returns.

Love and Blessings,

Hannah
